About Middle Circle®
Invaluable First-Hand Experience
The Middle Circle® tools have been created and developed based on 30-years’ experience of working with teams on their effectiveness and helping organizations develop their talent and individuals manage their careers. We found teams were unsure about how to go about highlighting their strengths and uncertain on how to identify, and what to do, when they had become dysfunctional. Middle Circle® for Teams helps teams achieve both by pinpointing a team’s unique combination of fourteen drivers of team effectiveness and changing team routines to improve results and team performance. We also found that organizations, unable to offer a ‘career for life’, wished to provide a tool to help their people manage their own career. Middle Circle® for Careers enables this through measuring and improving the triple bottom line at work: better results, relationships and reputations.
Tried and Tested
The tools have a research-based core that has driven Middle Circle® from the beginning. Our research allows us to provide powerful, in-depth insights on the drivers of team effectiveness and create effective, actionable plans to change outdated team routines, as well as provide clear guidance on how an individual can progress their career.
Dr. Declan Woods
The Middle Circle® tools were created by Dr. Declan Woods, CEO of ZPD Consulting. Declan founded ZPD, a global leadership consulting company, with the purpose of creating more leadership in organizations. The Middle Circle® tools support this leadership consulting work.
Declan used his deep psychological know-how (as a Registered and Chartered Psychologist), and advanced coaching skills (as an accredited Master Coach), to help create the Middle Circle® tools, putting research, insight creation, habit change and actionability at their core, to help ensure teams and individuals maximise their potential. Declan’s technical expertise is supplemented by a 30 years’ experience and track record as a business leader, Plc. Director and non-executive Director during which he has led teams of all sizes and set up talent management processes and functions for whole organizations.
